GAMS
Women who have undergone an excision (genital mutilation) can suffer sexually, psychologically and physically. The Group for the Abolition of Female Genital Mutilation (GAMS) is meant to prevent such practices and offer comprehensive support to the girls and women directly concerned, in order to reduce the health, psychological and social impact of these practices.
Through this video, girls and women who have been excised, as well as their relatives, can discover the path proposed by GAMS Belgium to accompany each one in her reconstruction with a midwife, a gynecologist, a psychologist and a sexologist. They are invited to step through the door of a multidisciplinary centre, to find out more and begin their personal reconstruction process.
