REDD+ Academy

REDD+ (Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and Forest Degradation) is a mechanism proposed under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

REDD+ is part of the global effort to combat climate change, and also contributes to green development by protecting and promoting conservation and sustainable management of forests.  It also serves to protect biodiversity, reduce land degradation, improve livelihoods of the rural poor and improve adaptation to climate change.

The REDD+ Academy is a comprehensive training programme on REDD+ that can be adapted to the circumstances of different countries and needs of different stakeholders.

This short film was commissioned by Visual Cabin, a creative agency for sustainable development.
