Underseas Oasis

As polyp travels the ocean, it lays on rocks and eats plankton to strengthen. This cohabitation will lead to the creation of coral. Day after day, it will become host to new corals, creating progressively what we call a reef.

Coral reefs are a key element to our global ecosystem : if they only occupy 0.2% of our oceans’ surface area, it shelters over 25% of all underwater life.

Nowadays, reefs are threatened : pollution, destructive fishing practices, overfishing and climate change are great dangers. It is essential for us to preserve the fragile balance of these underseas oasis in order to maintain our entire ecosystem.
